Heliene Launches New Module to Reshore the Supply Chain Behind American Rooftop Solar

New 108HC All-Black module brings American-made polysilicon, ingots, wafers, and solar cells to the U.S. rooftop market, with purchase commitment from America’s largest provider of residential storage and solar systems

MOUNTAIN IRON, Minn., Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Heliene Inc., a leading American manufacturer of high-performance solar modules, today announced its new Heliene 108HC All-Black module, bringing more of the solar supply chain serving American rooftops back to the United States.

The new module brings together American-made polysilicon, ingots, wafers, and solar cells, reconnecting critical stages of the solar supply chain with U.S. manufacturing after more than a decade. Final module assembly will take place in the U.S., with globally sourced components incorporated where appropriate.

The module represents an important step in reshoring U.S. solar manufacturing, bringing more of the upstream silicon supply chain back to America. By connecting American rooftop solar demand with domestic manufacturing across multiple stages of the supply chain, the module can help strengthen the U.S. solar supply chain, support American manufacturing jobs, and reduce exposure to tariffs.

Sunrun, America's largest provider of residential battery storage and solar systems, has executed a purchase agreement of the Heliene 108HC All-Black module. Sunrun is helping support investment further upstream in the U.S. solar supply chain by creating demand for American-made solar materials and components.
